As part of the Food Buzz Taste-testers program I received 3 boxes of their cereal.
I’ve tried their cereal before, but was really impressed with the recipes you can make with them. All of their cereals are high in fiber. In fact the
cereal pictured below has tons of fiber to keep you fuller longer! Studies show that people who eat a high fiber diet including fresh fruits and veggies lessen their risk for cancer, diabetes and obesity.
So, you know how I love muffins, using their cereal, I found this recipe from their web site that turned out really good!

Spoiler Alert!! Biggest Loser Re-Cap!
OK, tonight’s show was awesome! I always get teary eyed with Oneal and Sunshine! I thought for sure when Oneal fell he broke his leg or something and then to have his brother pass away too? I felt super bad for him but glad he lost 8 pounds!
And, I didn’t think it was a bad idea for Koli to try to win the challenge so his cousin Sam could stay, because they work out like fiends and I knew Koli could still lose weight, which of course losing 10 pounds in week 14 is amazing.
And when Sunshine only lost 1 pound and so did Victoria, I knew Koli would send Victoria home. What I was most surprised about was Victoria’s Mom, I didn’t even recognize her she lost so much weight and she looked so much younger!
So, I my guess is that either Sam will win the whole thing or Daris…who do you think will win the whole thing?
The muffins are a smart idea. Wonder if they would work as a crust for chicken…similar to the cornflake chicken recipes that people have done.
I have eaten this cereal, but I do sometimes use it in a great muffin recipe as well! Pretty similar to yours, but you also add about a cup of yogurt to the batter – makes them very moist!
Sounds great, I will have to try that! ๐
Tried it before and it was good. I usually added it my smoothies or added a protein shake to it as my “milk”.
How funny, I was just looking at a box of Bran Buds when I was at the grocery store on Monday! Didn’t buy it, but I think I will – and make those muffins – holy yum!
All Bran was the cereal I used to get my son to eat when he was little, he said to me one day “Mum, this is the only cereal that keeps getting bigger when I eat it”! He was only 5 at the time, I wish I’d known about the muffins then! I will definately give them a go & thanks for sharing!
I think Sam can do it if he can keep from being eliminated. What the contestants don’t seem to realize is that by keeping O’Neal and Sunshine on there together, they’re allowing a powerful alliance to form because you know they’re going to protect each other! I’d like to see the final four be Sunshine, Michael, Daris and Sam. But we’ll see.
I’m just not a cereal eater so nope, haven’t tried it.
We love All Bran Buds and Fiber One at our house. I like it in my yogurts or with a small amount of almond milk (I don’t like soggy cereal!) I think they’d be great coating for “fried” chicken or fish as long as you crush it fine enough.
I totally shed some tears at O’Neal: his leg and brother, My heart hurt for him. But I am sorta sick of him and Sunshine crying at EVERYTHING. I am pulling for them to win it all, so I like them, but the waterworks are getting too predictable. I think Michael will win though. My husband calls him ‘The Italian Stallion’ and I laugh everytime he says it. His confidence and motivation have gone through the roof in the last few weeks. But he needs to do better then 5 lbs to win it!
i picture the all-bran buds tasting like grape nuts.
50 % fiber. I have got to try that cereal, it goes on the list. And I do love to use cereal to make muffins too!
Oh. My. Goodness! I can’t wait to try the cereal, and the muffins!
