Sometimes when its a busy day at work, or big homework night I like to keep things in the freezer that will take no time to cook. I was so happy to see these things in my freezer!
I had Butterball Turkey Smoked Sausages. They are already fully cooked, I just defrosted them in the microwave and heated them up in a skillet. (100 calories 5 grams of fat per 2 oz. serving!)
I just bought these frozen new potatoes from Aldi food store over the weekend. You can boil them, saute them in a pan, microwave or bake them! (Only 110 calories per serving!)
I just boiled these veggies in a pot for about 7 minutes, so easy!
This is my favorite salad dressing, which I drizzled over the veggies… 70 calories and 4 grams of fat per 2 TB.
So all in all, not a bad dinner and done in less than 30 minutes!
So this huge dinner was only 375 calories, 14 grams of fat, 5 grams of fiber and 20 grams of protein!
Dinner in less than 30mins is totally my speed. 🙂
Great ideas!! I’ve gotta get my butt to Aldi, everyone always gets such great stuff there!
Great blog! Congratulations on all the healthy achievements! I’ve also made a healthy transformation in the past few years, so I love finding blogs that inspire me and motivate me to keep going 🙂
I looks like you did a great job assembling a healthy dinner from packages. That is a tough job!
OK, I’ll have that for diner. [rasies hand in corner for anyone to notice]
Defiantly not bad for 30 minutes. I love your blog. Eating right DOES start from your shopping cart!! Thanks for all the ideas for fast and simple, yet healthy meals.
That’s a lot of food for under 30 minutes and 400 calories!
P.S. I left you something on my blog!
I am a menu-planning lunatic so I don’t tend to stock things in my freezer (unless they’re on sale – usually meat). I also don’t have a real freezer (don’t you just love dorm cube fridges). BUT this looks great for a spur of the moment meal. Definitely a good way to stay healthy in 30 minutes or less.
that turkey smoked sausage calls my name! I love how you slightly charred it…my fav way to eat sausages, too!
MMMMMM, delicious!!!
Is it bad that I’ve never been to Aldis and there’s actually one less than five minutes away from my house?? Great, quick dinner!!
(p.s. I used my teaspoons today ; )
Love sausages, all kinds. I add them to pasta with vegetables.
What great finds!
this looks great! i never thought of frozen potatoes either — i’m always looking for quick week night dinner ideas too
