Were you a fan of fish sticks growing up? I was! I never would think as an adult that I would be making fish sticks for my family – but these grown up version of fish tacos have become a favorite quick and Weight Watchers friendly dinner.
The brand I have been enjoying is called Trident – I like this brand because they come out super crispy. There are endless toppings for fish tacos – it’s a great way to clear out veggies at the end of the week – but these are the staples I usually have on hand to make these super deluxe.
- Fresh jalapenos
- Banana peppers
- chopped red cabbage
- broccoli slaw
- chopped romaine lettuce
- tomatoes
- red onion
- tartar sauce
- Cheddar cheese
- red or green salsa
To assemble – I will place all the toppings on a large piece of parchment paper – that way my family can just add what they want. If there are hardly any leftovers, then I can just fold up the parchment paper and throw it away – easy clean up.
If you haven’t tried Tumaro’s wraps – they have several different flavors – they are one ONE point on Weight Watchers! If you don’t like fish sticks – I also have made these with Trident brand fish fillets – their cod fillets are crispy and delicious too!
