I usually go to Aldi to grocery shop, or the local Fair Share by my house, once in a while Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods. I’ve kind of stopped going to Jewel or Dominick’s in the Chicago-land area, because their food is so much more expensive!
But, I ended up going to Dominick’s and did find a few things I wanted to pass along.
This Kashi cereal may have been out there for a while, but I hadn’t seen it before and its only 1 point per cup on Weight Watchers!
My son saw this at the store, so I picked it up for him
It looks like the pasta shape of Spaghettio’s! Even though I’m a grown up I still love Spaghettio’s. But this version is whole wheat pasta and you can just add your own sauce (a little healthier alternative!)
My husband and I had no kids for dinner tonight! Our old babysitter who we had for 12 years invited the kids to go to her house and play for the afternoon and stay for dinner. They had a great time, and I was kind of lazy about what to make for dinner, so I chose a staple I usually have in my pantry:
I just browned up 2 chicken breasts which I cut into smaller pieces and added the mix and that’s it! Very low maintenance dinner! I never noticed on the package before if you don’t like it as spicy you can add 1/2 cup of regular rice and and extra 3/4 cup of water.
It hit the spot!
I used to love spaghetti-o’s – and I would probably buy that pasta just for the sentimental aspect of it!
I keep hearing others say Jewel is so expensive, but by me it’s the cheapest! We do have a new Aldi though, so I’ll have to go check that out. Although, I do love me some coupons and I know they don’t accept them!!
You are going to love that Honey Sunshine cereal! It’s one of my faves. It is really sweet – which is of course why I love it 🙂
Wheat pasta and a great shape. I’ll be looking for some of those for my kiddos.
I need to try Honey Sunshine cereal too, looks healthy and delicious. Jambalaya sounds yummy too!
I love that type of pasta! I had a lot of fun with it a couple of weeks ago:

Hee hee! Those are cute pasta shapes! am I still a kid for saying I want those too?
WOW! I have not had spagettios in a long time! ! ! I think I should go get some just for kicks. These look great though. I bet much healthier than the original kind
Ooh those little pasta rings are a hoot! They would be great in soup too.
I actually bought spaghettio’s not too long ago because I was craving them and they weren’t nearly as good as I remembered 🙁 That little O pasta is so cute though.
so cool, healthy spaghetti-o’s!
