For lunch yesterday, I brought a baked potato and on top I put leftover sloppy Jo’s and a slice of Alpine Lace Reduced Fat swiss cheese. It was so good and totally filling. For the sloppy Jo’s I actually used ground chicken with Manwhich sauce.
Did you notice how I tried to make it fancy with the drops of hot sauce on my plate? Ha!
Okay, down to business. Biggest Loser was so good last night! I definitely had a tissue near by! I thought everyone looked great and I love seeing everyone go home and seeing their families for the first time.
And of course I knew they were going to say they had to run a marathon! I’ve run 2 marathons, and it brought back huge memories, when Amanda started to cry and didn’t think she was going to make it and she was in so much pain. I went through the same thing around mile 20 both times. It’s like you want to give up, you don’t think you can go another inch let alone another six miles. I was wondering if I had to quit, can I catch a cab to the finish? But, then you think how long you trained, how close you are to finishing and it is the best feeling of accomplishment when you cross the finish line. I did think it was crazy that they had to run in the sand at the end! And they had pretty good finishing times too!!
I couldn’t believe that Danny lost another 59 pounds at home. What was he doing? He couldn’t have worked out as much at home as he did on the ranch. His face was so thin! And Rudy did an awesome job too!
Who are you going to vote for?
I think I am leaning towards Amanda, not that I have anything against Liz, but I think I want Amanda to have the opportunity more.
I can’t wait for the finale!
Well, speaking as an old fart, I voted all ten times for LIZ. Amanda’s life is ahead of her, and she can use her new self to all it’s advantages (not just weight, but confidence and emerging personality as well). Liz, being of a certain age, has fewer life options. She can take this win, place or show and add more options to that life. Not the least of which is to advance beyond an unhappy marriage.
It’s a long story, I have been unhappily married and happily married. I recommend happily married. But when you are “of a certain age”, it is much tougher to make that jump.
And hey, marathon runner… great job!
We have baked potatoes for dinner all the time! LOVE them, they are so filling. I make roasted broccoli and stuff them with low-fat cheddar and salsa. Also: a tip my mom taught me–you can wet a baked potato deliciously with chicken broth.
I have to say that I voted all 10 times for Amanda. I have wanted her to win from the beginning and she is now thisclose. The baked potato sounds likes a great dinner. I will have to try that one night soon.
I voted for Amanda… I’ve gotten a little annoyed with Liz over the last several episodes and think that up until Allen threatened to vote her off a few weeks ago, she didn’t really seem to CARE as much as I think she should. And, although I understand that it’s a great bond they’re all building while on the ranch, I sort of feel like it’s gone a bit further for Liz with Danny and felt terrible for Danny’s wife when they were running the marathon and Liz kept calling him “Baby” and grabbed his arm at the finish line. I dunno… maybe it’s just me, but her attitude seemed to be walking a fine line!
I voted for Liz just because she’s older and doesn’t seem to have a great support system at home.
Ha, I DO agree with you about Liz and Danny … I felt sorry for his wife too :s That must have been a weird situation!
yeah i was voting for Liz too. I believe that she is going to be the best maintainer for their lost weight.
