My husband went out with friends, and after the kids were in bed, it was an evening of Jenn-TV! My husband puts up with my obsession with watching FOOD TV all the time. I think if that’s the only channel we got, I would be totally fine with that!
I watched an episode of 100 mile diet, where 6 families in Cananda were challenged to eat only foods that were within a 100 miles from their home. For most, that meant no coffee, no beer, and no bread! It’s interesting to see how creative people became when they were forced to think about where their food came from. Click here for more information on that.
I also found a new cooking show called Chef Academy on Bravo. It was really good. It was about a French Chef who opens a culinary school in California and picks 10 people to be in the first class. Most of them are at home cooks wanting either to get into the culinary school, or just learn how to cook better.
So, it was a great night of FOOD TV!
While checking e-mails, I read a great article about learning how to eat healthy anywhere from Kashi. Click on the link below for the article and a small video.

Now, to get ready for the work week.
I didn’t quite make all my goals. For example, I wanted to get up early and work out before work, that didn’t happen, my snooze button won over every day!
BUT, even though my weight stayed the same as last week, I still wrote everything down that I ate, I still didn’t eat anything after dinner (I kept telling myself the kitchen was CLOSED after dinner!) And I did great at my offices pot luck.
This week, I’m going to do awesome! I already asked my husband if he will go running with me ON Thanksgiving morning. That will help me stay on track. Also, I am going to plan ahead the day before to bring healthy snacks and food to work each day. It’s a 3 day work week, so I am totally excited for a long weekend next weekend!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
It truly is all about the plan! I am so jealous! Only a 3 day work week sounds divine. It will never happen in my line of work though. Oh well, I can dream and live that life through others! Have a super week!
I am planning on dragging my husband on a run on Thanksgiving morning, too! Have a great Turkey Day.
That is a wonderful idea to run on Thanksgiving! Great plan!
Haha so you are another food TV addict!! my snooze button has been winning for years lol.
