I did my grocery shopping this week at Super Target. When I got to the yogurt section, I started to reach for the usual Dannon lite yogurt, but when I happened to see the Target brand Archer Farms yogurt for about 10 cents cheaper, I took one off the shelf and looked at the nutritional information. For a 6 ounce up, it was only 70 calories, with no fat. The flavor I picked was black cherry thick and creamy fat free yogurt. It is by far way better in my opinion than Dannon. I loved the texture, the sweetness. I was lucky enough to be given 2 pounds of fresh blueberries from my friend Kathy at work, so all I did was mix the yogurt with the blueberries and that was it. The blueberries were perfectly sweet, so I didn’t need to add anything else. The smoothie served 1, and it was 153 calories, 0 fat and 3.5 grams of fiber. The best part is I got 20% of my calcium from the yogurt and crossed off 1 serving of fruit for the day. It’s a great way to start the day. You could even freeze the blueberries if you wanted to when you make the smoothie too.
So the next time you are at Super Target, check out all the flavors they have, I don’t think you will be dissapointed!
