A year ago my stir fry’s consisted of celery, carrots, rice and chicken. I’m not joking! I always thought I didn’t like certain vegetables, so I just never tried them again. Fast forward to this stir fry: I have:
- sliced garlic
- green onions
- sugar snap peas
- cauliflower
- broccoli slaw
- carrots
- bok choy
- water chestnuts
- ground chicken
Everyone gets to decide their sauce!
Here is my bowl:
Where did those cookies come from? ;0)
When I was at the store over the weekend, in a discount bin, they had giant bags of dark chocolate M & M’s for only .89 cents. They were on sale because they were the Christmas ones in red and green. And once I stared making these, I realized I only had 1/2 a stick of butter, but I decided to make them anyway to see what would happen.
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 TB. peanut butter
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- vanilla
- M & M’s
- 1/2 stick of butter
They turned out okay. I did try one. The only difference was that they were kind of cakey, which I didn’t mind at all! I put them in my kids lunches, so we’ll see what they say!
Oh my goodness, everything looks great! Love it!
And such a vast array of sauces to choose from – awesome!
I LOVE stir fries full of crunchy, delicious veggies. They’re also so filling and satisfying with all that chewing and digesting – but healthy b/c so much of it is veggies!
I grew up 18 years on the Outer Banks! Split between houses in Southern Shores, Kill Devil Hills and Kitty Hawk – where my parents still live. So – really, just next door to Nags Head where you vacationed!
Small world! 🙂
That is a small world! When we would tell our friends we were going to the Outer Banks, they had no idea where that was. You are so lucky!! It’s so beautiful there!
Yeah, nobody ever knows “Outer Banks,” which is surprising to me b/c of the millions of tourists and the whole “first flight” thing! 😉 I’ve resolved to “Coast of North Carolina” as an explanation, b/c then people at least don’t picture mountainy, hillbilly banjo-playing NC. haha
