So after working 9 hours yesterday, then grocery shopping after work, I was tired! So an easy dinner was in store for me. My kids were gone again with their old babysitter for the afternoon/evening, so I made something only my husband and I like….Sloppy Joe’s. I’ve made them from scratch before, but last night I made them with Manwhich. BUT, I wondered if I could do the same thing I have done with my pasta sauce, and beef stew…..can I add more veggies to this??? Turns out you can!!
I took the can of Manwhich, put that in the blender and added 1 yellow pepper, one green pepper, 1/2 a white onion and 1/4 cooked cauliflower and blended it so you couldn’t see any trace of veggies! I added that to ground sirloin beef.
And, of course you can’t have Sloppy Joe’s without tots!!! 10 Tater tots are only 3 points, so you can have those once in a while. And I felt like I was getting more veggies into my regular sloppy joe’s. They tasted great, no one would have known I added more veggies!
Also at the store (I shopped at Aldi) I found a few of my favorites:
These deserts are tasty! Only 70 calories too! It tastes like Italian Ice!
Has anyone had this cereal?? I love it! If they have it there I buy several boxes:
It’s 5 points per serving, but so worth it! I’ll use this granola as a base for home made trail mix. I’ll take this cereal, add some honey nut Cheerios, almonds, sunflower seeds, a little chocolate chips, or sometimes raisins. Check it out if you get the chance!
Have a great day everyone!
Do you have the deceptively delicious cookbook? I think you would like it.

I haven’t heard of that book! I’ll check it out. Thanks for the tip! Jenn
I love sloppy joes! Haven’t had them in years….I love your idea of adding different veggies to it and making it more nutritious.
Yum! I love the hidden veggies in manwich!
Emma just came back from camp and is begging me to make Sloppy Joes, the one meal she said she ate. So thanks for the recipe, from both of us.
