I’m going to an 85th birthday party this afternoon for my Mother in Law. My husband has 10 brothers and sisters and there are about 30 grandchildren, so when we all get together its always a big party. I was asked by the host family to bring some kind of green bean dish.
This is what I made:
2 packages frozen green beans
1 TB. canola oil for sauteeing
1/2 sliced red onion4 cloves of garlic, chopped
3 tsp. sesame oil
sea salt and pepper to taste
In a large skillet, I sauteed the garlic and red onions for a few minutes. Then I added the green beans and 1/4 cup of water, put foil on top of the pan and steamed them for about 10 minutes. Then I added the sesame oil, stir and serve!
Oh, simple and scrumptious!
Yummy!!
I hope the party was as successful as those green beans looked.
The party was great. 52 people came!! My Mother-in-law had a great time. She’s doing awesome for being 85!!
