Even though in Chicago the actual temperature is 0, with a windchill of -23, I still enjoy making smoothies for breakfast and today’s was the tastiest EVER!
Ingredients in my Magic Bullet:
3 handfuls of fresh spinach
1 tsp. sugar
1 TB. ground flax seed
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
handful of cranberries (they were also frozen)
3/4 cup orange juice
Just mix until well combined, about 30 seconds! Believe me you CANNOT taste the spinach. I was on the fence about that for a long time and I’m so glad I tried it!
Hope you are staying warm today if its cold in your part of the world!!!
so healthy… mine is much simpler, fruit, yogurt, milk… not as healthy, but easy and quick… got to consider this one
Very funny – I live in Chicago too and had a blueberry smoothie this morning! 🙂 Love that you’ve added spinach! Never thought about that!
your smoothie looks great! I need a really good blender, how do you like your bullet?
****Jasmine, I LOVE my magic bullet. It’s about $60.00 but I’ve had it for 2 years and use it almost every day. The favorite in my family is making your own milk shakes. They come with colored tops, and everyone is happy. Definitely worth it! Jenn
Looks tasty! Yummy!
Sounds wonderful!
I always wondered if Magic Bullets were all really all they claim to be, thanks for the info 😉
Looks beautiful & sounds delicious! I have never made a smoothie with spinach (somehow I’m too lazy to get the blender out), but I use lots of spinach when I make juice (and somehow don’t mind cleaning the juicer), and you really can’t taste the spinach, especially when there is some citrus…
YUM – I love cranberry and never thought to use it in smoothies! Do you buy pre-frozen cranberries right in the frozen fruit section or do you buy fresh in the produce section & freeze them?!
Errign, I bought fresh cranberries and just froze them, although buying frozen cranberries would work too! Jenn
Your smoothie creation sounds amazing with blueberries and cranberries!
I am really having trouble believing this, but I am going to just have to try it sometime.
Healthy and delicious!
Cheers,
Rosa
