I love this recipe because it is so quick, plus you can mix and match depending on what you like. You need:
- 1 pint low-fat vanilla ice cream
- 1/4 cup low fat milk (I use fat free)
- 1/2 cup toffee bits (you can buy these by the chocolate chips in the baking section)
Prep:In a blender, combine half the ice cream and all of the milk. Blend until well combined. Add the remaining ice cream. Cover and blend until desired consistency. If you want it thinner, add milk a tablespoon at a time. Add the toffee bits, pulse until incorporated. This recipe makes 5 (1/2 cup) servings. Each serving is 107 calories, 4 grams of fat and 0 fiber.I will sometimes add Ovaltine too. Did you know that 4 tablespoons of Ovaltine is only 70 calories? You can also of course, substitute any flavor of ice cream too. I have also made this with chocolate soy milk which is delish! You can also add fat free cool whip and drizzle some chocolate on top, just add the extra calories.
They still make Ovaltine?
Yep! And its awesome!
